Everything started in 1903, with the journey of a boy who sailed to the U.S. to try and build his future.
Some years later, Filippo Giusti returned to Italy, and with the fruits of his work he bought a piece of land near his hometown – a place where he could put down deep roots.
From then on, our family kept growing along with a passion for the land and, since the 1930s, for the cultivation of the vine. A passion that, after Filippo, enthralled my father Luigi and me.

In the ‘50s my parents, Luigi and Maria Giusti, acquired the historic cellar of Castelferretti, facing the town’s fourteenth-century castle.
There, year after year, we processed the grapes produced by our vineyards in the countryside of Montignano, where we developed an agricultural project that became increasingly focused on the cultivation of Lacrima.

My experience in our winery started in this family environment. After my father passed away I kept improving the vineyards of Montignano with the help of my wife Elena.
Today, the company lives with a goal – producing the best wines, in order to make the dream that I shared with my father come true, and show that Lacrima is a great and special indigenous grape.
